For anyone with an interest in the mining and industrial heritage of Cornwall, I would recommend the Redruth and Camborne area. There is lots to see and do and it's great for walking. In particular, I'd recommend this : www.cornwalls.co.uk/history/industrial/mineral_tramways.htmThere are lots of former tramways which are now footpaths and I walked the Great Flat Lode a couple of years ago, which was brilliant, and takes in lots of old mine workings. It's a circular walk, about 7 or 8 miles, and there are a few hilly bits but not too bad - although there is one short, steep climb, which I think I did on my hands and knees
