Day One Classic doesn't export dates in a standard format (unlike Day One 2.x). If your Mac is set to a non-English language, follow these steps before you export from Day One Classic. After you've imported the entries into Lifecraft, you can change your system language back to its original setting. Hit Download or Get (depending on the version of the Mac App Store you are using). Best known for creative Mac software like iScrapbook, Labelist, and PrintLife, Chronos has spread its wings with Lifecraft, a digital journal app that works on mobile devices as well. While not as full-featured as the excellent Day One, several compelling features make Lifecraft worth a look. Day One 2.x allows photos to be inserted anywhere in the entry text. When you import your entries into Lifecraft, you can choose to: (1) leave the photos in the text or (2) move them to the Media Gallery that appears at the top of the entry: Next we need to create a bootable USB disk so that we can install a new copy of macOS on the Mac from the flash drive. We've got full instructions on how to do that here - How to make a bootable Mac OS X install drive - but we'll run through the basics again. We're going to create the bootable drive using Terminal, which you can open by pressing Command + Space bar and typing Terminal. Select the drive and click Erase. (The name of the disk needs to be "Untitled", if the Terminal commands below are to work, so rename it if necessary.) - Added Weather Units setting (Settings > Weather) I am in no way associated with these apps, or their corresponding companies. The following opinions are my own.
